Choosing a pathway to a promising career in cybersecurity.
University of Texas at San Antonio
The UTSA CyberSkills2Work program offers training for individuals who want to learn new cybersecurity skills, start a new career in cybersecurity, focus in on Digital forensics, or get ready to take the PMP certification test. Three different pathways are offered to cover these areas. The pathway classes are online hybrid courses that include topics specifics to the classes described in the individual pathways. The boot camp for project management professional certification exam can be taken by anyone seeking that certification and is also enrolled in the Digital Forensics Pathway. The program is available to transitioning military personnel, first responders, veterans, military spouses, and government personnel. This program is offered at no cost to selected participants.
This pathway is designed to equip entry-level students with the foundational knowledge required to pursue careers in defensive cybersecurity. Students will be introduced to the body of knowledge encompassed by the Security+ certification exam. With the completion of this course and a dedicated study period, most students should be well-prepared to take the Security+ certification exam. This pathway was formally known as Cyber Defense Analyst.
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
Must be a veteran, transitioning service member, first responder, or government personnel.
Must have at least a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
