About This Program

ENMU-Ruidoso CyberSkills2Work offers a one-year, intensive training program. It is designed to prepare students to work as a cyber defense infrastr​ucture support specialist to meet current and future employer requirements. The learned requirements are based on the NICE Framework Work Role’s operate and maintain and protect and defend categories of cybersecurity job functions.

About This Pathway

The Cyber Defense technical support pathway is designed to prepare participants to support customers who need assistance utilizing client-level hardware and software in accordance with established or approved organizational process components such as management plans and organizational processes and procedures. *** This program provides training for the listed industry certifications. ENMU cannot award industry partner certifications. These are independently tested and awarded by the respective institution. E.G. CompTIA, EC Council etc. This is managed through a voucher provision policy which is based upon student performance and fiscal limitations. Eligibility

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Must be a veteran, transitioning service member, first responder, woman, military spouse, underrepresented minority, or government personnel.
  • Must have at least a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. (School transcripts of the highest level of education completed are required.)
  • Must have some IT or cybersecurity experience.
  • Must apply for admission to ENMU-Ruidoso’s Computer & Network - Security Certificate Program.

Digital Badges Awarded

Participants will be presented with digital badges upon the completion of each course and the successful passing of industry certification exams, contingent on the inclusion of a certification exam prep course in the pathway. Additionally, graduates of the pathway will be awarded with a pathway badge.
